Surf - Level 1
You have the ideal environment to pursue your surfing passion thanks to the gentle waves, the sparse crowd in the queue, and the stunning surroundings. You’ll instantly feel at home when immersed in Weligama’s real surf culture.
Those who have never surfed before or who haven’t surfed in a while should start at Level 1 if they want a refresher on the fundamentals. Our home beach, Midigama Beach, the lovely white sand beach right outside the camp, with gentle waves of Weligama, is where we frequently have our surf lessons.
Surf - Level 2
Our surf camp is adjacent to some of the best beaches and learner-friendly surf locations in the nation. We are looking for lovely, calm waves on a fine white beach on level 2. There are numerous additional locations close to the camp where you can go surfing at sunrise or sunset to experience the thrill of developing your skills in captivating surroundings.
Surf - Level 3
The goal of Level 3 is to increase your level of comfort in the water. World-class waves may be found in Sri Lanka, which is ideal for improving your surfing. Every morning, we take you to the greatest surfing places of the day, and our qualified instructors will inspire, direct, and push you to improve.
Living at the camp, a short distance from the beach gives you the chance to continue learning to surf and feed your passion in addition to taking surf instruction.
Surfing is probably the only extreme sport that you will manage to do in your 60s, so start investing now in learning how to surf. Surfing is a demanding sport that requires you to be able to swim in the open sea when the waves are high and to get back on your surfboard while being pushed by the water. The biceps and triceps are two of the main muscles you need to train for surfing. To become a good surfer, you will also need to be a good swimmer.
It’s difficult to learn to surf on your own. Surfing is very different from other, more established sports. The slow learning curve is part of what makes it enjoyable, though. Every session will present a challenge to you, even if you’ve been surfing for ten years. Start investing in your education now because surfing is likely the only extreme sport you will be able to participate in once you reach your 60s. Surfing, unlike other sports, is played in an unpredictable environment and heavily depends on geographical and climatic factors. Above all, we must allow other surfers to use our playground. In essence, learning to surf is more difficult than learning to play tennis or football.
